You've suffered enough in this economy. Let me reveal a cheap baby Halloween costume that doesn't look like you found it on the rack of Goodwill. In fact, I'll give you twenty-six and you can choose your favorite.
If that doesn't turn your money-worried frown upside-down, nothing will.
This first group of cheap Halloween baby costumes is from my favorite costume store online. I've used them faithfully for the past 4 years.
They have great prices, fast delivery (which helps with impatient kids), and awesome coupons - just like the ones below.
Use coupon code Save-15 on $75 or more and take 15% off your total. Only for early orders! Expires September 30th, 2011.
This is the ultimate "cheat" for a cheap baby Halloween costume.
Stick in a pacifier like this buck-toothed one (or the pumpkin ...or the ghost) and you're done!
The pacifiers are all dentist-happy, fully-tested, and government-approved. Plus, they'll make LOTS of people smile.
Originally $34.99, this costume is sitting on the clearance shelf just waiting for the perfect click.
Unlike a real meerkat though, this one has snaps on the under leg inseams for easy diaper changes.
Available only for babies over 6 months old. If your baby is younger, keep reading. I've got a cheap baby Halloween costume for your newborn coming up.
Even though this is a bunting costume, size-wise it's better for a baby wearing 6 month to 12 month clothing.
The Dora and Diego Costumes below are sold in smaller sizes; take a look at those for a cheap baby Halloween costume for your newborn.
It's amazing that this Dora the Explorer costume actually fits as a cheap baby Halloween costume. It's ten bucks!
Break out the measuring tape! It's newborn sized (1-6 mos.) at 22-inches around the waist, 23-inches long, and the sleeves are 9-inches.
The Go, Deigo, Go! cheap baby Halloween costume is also on clearance for $9.99, and is the same 1-6 month old size. My favorite part about the Diego baby costume is the hair!Don't forget your coupons!
Use coupon code Save-15 on $75 or more and take 15% off your total. Only for early orders! Expires September 30th, 2011.
Secret Store #2 is aptly named for having the largest collection of Halloween costumes on the Internet. Why is that worth mentioning?
Because large supply means large clearance sections.
This adorable little jumper is 25" long and 26" across the chest. It's made of soft polyester with snaps on the legs and down the front for quick diaper changes.
Surprisingly, the matching Eyeore jumper is more expensive! It's $14.99.
My third favorite place to find great cheap baby costumes is this one, which is interesting because it's not actually a costume store.
I must add a disclaimer to this one, though. I'm currently writing/researching this article at the beginning of August.
I'm not sure if these are going to be the prices in October!
If you see a costume you like, my advice is to grab it now, since I have no idea of this is a "sale" price or the actual price.
I'll keep an eye on it and remove those that cross my $15 threshold, but a few may slip through the cracks in the meantime.
This dragonfly costume definitely does not look like a cheap baby Halloween costume!
The ensemble includes the bodysuit (with wings and tail attached), the headpiece with antennae, and non-slip booties.
This costume is exclusive to my Secret Store #2 and is not found anywhere else!
There are few things to note about this cheap baby Halloween costume. As for sizing, read all the reviews before purchasing. Some parents had trouble getting a good fit.
The fabric is surprisingly thin, best for warm-weather trick-or-treaters. Besides the comfy jumpsuit, it also comes with the plush headpiece and de-clawed mittens.
If you like this tiger design, you may like the similar baby zebra costume even more. It's also $10.95
Isn't this cheap baby Halloween costume hilarious? I laughed out loud when I saw it.
The perfect little package for your newborn, as it fits babies up to 16 lbs. Everyone will gush over your baby in this!
This store actually has quite a few cute costumes for under $15. I can't include them all, but I can squeeze in six.
Just because you're the Queen of Thriftiness doesn't mean you have to dress your baby in stained costumes from secondhand stores.
I hope these 20 suggestions have given you some food for thought! You can definitely get a cheap baby Halloween costume this year, and still walk the boardwalk with pride!
